On Wednesday the NBA announced that the All Star game festivities will be coming to Houston. None other than Steve Francis was there presumably to take a bow and represent past Rockets players. This guy was unbelievable in his one year at MD and a 3 time All Star before injuries ended his career prematurely. But look at him now? WTF happened? I have a guess. Hope I’m wrong.

I was at MD when Steve “Franchise” played and it was an awesome year for UMCP and basketball. He brought so much excitement to the school and everyone knew he would only be there for a year. Maybe he will return to Md to finish his degree.
Everyone goes through something and I hope his rehab. stint has helped him overcome his demons and he can return to a productive life on or off the court.

Saw him play ball in the alumni game at Maryland Madness in October, he looked fine and actually played pretty well. Just a bad pic here.
